The decision

The treatment plan used MARPE with screws to support molar distalization, combined with the Damon Q2 bracket system. This skeletal approach allowed correction of the space deficit without resorting to tooth extraction, which had been the standard approach for similar cases before MARPE became available.

Correction progressed quickly, and removal of the expansion appliance is planned as the case nears completion.
